My Kacey Brooke turns 18 today! It hardly seems possible.

Kacey you are so cool! I know you know that and that’s one of the things I really love about you ;). You are so very genuine and honest and sacrificial and giving. Your desire to please God by caring for others and ministering to others is not only extremely evident, it is your spiritual gift. There’s no denying it. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for loving your family. And thank you for loving Jesus.

I love you Kracka.

Love,

Cracka

Kacey graduated tonight from Chapel Hill. She was in the top ten percent and was number six in her class!

Kacey words can only begin to describe how proud your mom and I are of you and how excited we are for your life. You have such a heart for others, such compassion for those without a voice, such a passion for justice in a world that is so very terribly void of it. Thank you for all of your hard word, sleepless nights, and dedication to never settling for halfway. God is faithful!

Kacey will be at Tyler Junior College for the fall and spring semesters. After having a number of opportunities and scholarships at other schools, she’s decided to do her sophomore year (she’s completed her freshman year already through dual-credit) at TJC after receiving the Presidential Scholarship. Her plans are to go on to a four year school in the fall of 2016.

I love you KB!

Our beautiful oldest daughter Kacey Brooke turns 17 day.

Kacey you are an amazing young woman. I am so very grateful for who you are. For how you know who you are. I am proud of your commitment to God and to those closest to you, your discipline demonstrated in everything you set your mind to, and the way that you love with your whole heart. I know that our Father has amazing things He plans on accomplishing through you and I can’t wait to be a part of whatever those things are.

I love you Muffin Mouse.

kacey truckMy beautiful daughter turns 16 today!

That means a driver’s license, a truck, a little more rope, and whole lot of faith.

But I don’t worry about Kacey.

I don’t.

She’s got her mother’s intuition and brains (and maybe a bit of her stubbornness as well), and she’s one of the most disciplined, strongest, faithful people I know.

And I just don’t worry about her.

kacey lightKacey you are beautiful and wonderful and creative and diligent and talented, and did I say wonderful already?….

Thank you for being you.

Thank you for your faithfulness to God and to your family.

Thank you for your hard work in school and sports.

Thank you for investing so much of yourself into our family.

Thank you for going running and kayaking and especially shopping with your old man.

Thank you for loving me.

You make me so proud of you just for being you.

Love, Dad

My beautiful, wonderful, creative, soon-to-be-driving daughter turns 15 today!

My sweet girl, who still lets me call her “Muffin Mouse” when none of her friends are around.

Kacey, I love you with all my heart.

I love who you are, and the fact that you know who you are!

You have such a heart for God and for your family and for others (and yes, for animals too).

I am so blessed to be your dad!

Thank you for being you!

Love, Dad

The picture was taken this afternoon at the Round Rock Express AA Baseball game.  We are vacationing this week in Austin.

Kacey just so happened to be sitting in seat 15!

My beautiful, wonderful, spectacular, creative daughter turns 14 today!  Kacey Brooke.

Kacey and I are always on the same page.  We think alike.  We see life through the same lens.

She is as sweet as can be (but let me assure you, she can handle having three brothers!).

And she loves her daddy….  🙂

Kacey, I love you.  I love your sweet heart.  The compassion you always demonstrate.  The way you know just what to say.  How you make others better.  And how you show everyone (namely me) what faith looks like.

Happy birthday my Muffin Mouse.

Love, Dad
