the reeves crew and rockwall

er_welcome_logoThe Reeves crew is very excited to announce we’ll be making the move to Rockwall where we will be ministering with the Eastridge Church of Christ.

We’ll be burning up the road over the next several months, commuting on the weekends to Rockwall while the kids finish the school year in Tyler.

a_place_for_you_ministriesWe are so humbled to be a part of the amazing things God is accomplishing through the Eastridge Church. A church with a wonderful history of unity and Kingdom-thinking.

Please be in prayer for our transitional time.

Glory to God!

the birthday girl

Today is my absolute favorite day of the year!  Tiersa’s birthday!  It’s an event.  We build up to it for days.  Weeks!  And everyone’s involved.  The kids do their thing.  We collaborate.  We plan.  We strategize.  Dinner.  Presents.  Cake.  It’s a concerted, group effort.  And it’s a blast!

When it comes to “my part”, I’ve learned that slow dancing on the back porch by candlelight to “All I Want is You” by U2 is what makes her heart smile.  🙂

God is good!  He is faithful!  And today has been a fantastic day with the birthday girl!

I love that you love.  I love that you love me.  I love that you love us.  I love that you love our children.  I love that you love our family.  I love that you love God.  I love that you love others.  I love that you love our history.  I love that you love our present.  I love that you love our future.  I love that you love with your whole heart.  I love that you hold nothing back.  I love that out of 7 billion people on the planet God knew the one I wanted and needed.  I love that you love, Love.  And I love you!

“You are beautiful my Love, as Tirzah….” – Song of Solomon 6:4

Love you Love!

to jason…

Happy Birthday, Love.

You spent your 18th birthday helping my parents move… at the time, I was so busy thinking how cute you were, I am not sure I recognized how much you sacrificed for me.  You have not stopped.  When I think about our life together, I feel nothing but overwhelming adoration.  Your commitment and love for me and our babies are a gift. I praise God for our relationship, for your heart that seeks true intimacy with God, for your faithfulness, your strength, your arms that hold me tight at just the right time, your eyes and sweet, crooked smile (and all the different things that smile means),for how important my heart is to you, for your love of coffee, for your sweet texts, for how you protect me, for how you can make me blush with just a look,  for how we cry together and laugh together, for how beautiful you are to me, for how you love me imperfections and all, for how smart you are, for your muscles!  You are my hero hottie of a husband and I love you.  So, to that sweet boy, who kissed me goodnight on the porch I say, Happy Birthday!  Love, Tiersa

Dear Dad,

So it’s your birthday, wow you’re getting old! I’m sorry I’m not gonna be able to be with you today, but I get to see you next week! Thank you so much for being such a amazing influence in my life and for always being there and for giving me your all. I love you and I hope you have a great birthday!

Love, Mason

Happy Birthday, Cracka!!

Thank you for putting up with me even when I am not that nice at times ❤ I love you and I hope you have a great day! and enjoy your coffee.

Love, Kacey

Dear Dad,

I want to start out saying that if someone said “I have the best dad in the world” I would nicely say that I was sorry, but my dad is probably a lot better that theirs!  I love you and thank God in prayer for you.  You and me go everywhere together.  Even if it is 6:00 in the morning you would let me go to your bible study.  Thanks, Dad.  Happy Birthday!  I love you!

Love, Buddy

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.  You are the best dad in the world.  You are slow to anger and are understanding.  Thank you for every burnt meal, every sip of coffee, spoonful of cereal, and get out of a spanking free card you have given me.  I’m glad you’re my dad.

Love, Bowen

mason blake

Dear Mason Blake,

The name sounded strong to us and since Mason was just one letter away from Jason we decided to go with it.  Mason Blake.  Our firstborn.

We have to admit that you’ve been our guinea pig.  Being the oldest hopefully the other three will benefit from our trial and error.  Not that we’ve got it all figured out.  But you have always had a way about you that made everything right.  Your optimism and enthusiasm and sense of humor continue to bring such joy to everyone who knows you, and especially to us.

You bless us.  You’ve blessed us since day one.  You’re heart and spirit are like none other.  Your soul is as deep as the ocean and wisdom beyond your years.  You make everyone around you better, just for being near them.  We know this more than anybody else, because you make us better.

And so today we want to thank you.  We want to thank you for who you are and who you are becoming.  To thank you for the leader and friend you are to your peers.  For the way that you live.  For the way that you love.  For the way that that you love others and the way that you love God.  For your kindness and your compassion.  For the way that you call others to commitment.  For your zeal, and for your tenacity.  For the confidence (and sometimes over-confidence) that you’ve always had.  And for the “in-with-both-feet” way that you approach life.

Mason remember this: you are respected and loved by everyone that knows you.  You are our oldest, and granted at times this carries with it its own responsibilities, but you are ours, and we love you.  You have always had greatness within you.  We’ve seen it in you since day one.  And although we are anxious as to where God will lead you in life, we are very excited. Always remember who you are and whose you are.  “Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10).  “Being confident of this that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).

With all that we are: Dad, Mom, Kacey, Jacob, and Bowen

Our oldest graduates high school tonight.  Tomorrow he starts paying rent!!!  😉
