In Irresistible Revolution he chronicles life as an “ordinary radical.” Calling for a kingdom view of humanity, social justice, and ourselves. It’s really a book of stories. God-given experiences in life that have brought about change.
One experience that Shane shares is the summer he and a friend spent in Calcutta, India with Mother Theresa in the early 90’s. Caring for the ostracized and marginalized and learning what it means to be Christ to the world.
One facet that I found eye-opening (and that we need to open our eyes to) was Mother Theresa’s often repeated statement to those who were leaving after sharing in the work there in India: “Calcuttas are everywhere if we will only have eyes to see. Find your Calcutta.”
Glory to God!
